Second Open House Meeting on Voting Locations Thursday

The second of five public information open house meetings will be held Thursday at Sharon Springs Park Community Building in south Forsyth.

The Forsyth County Board of Voter Registrations and Elections has scheduled a series of town hall meetings to discuss basic information about the proposed changes to Election Day voting locations and precinct lines.

For the convenience of voters, five public information open house meetings will be held over the next two months. The second scheduled meeting is Thursday at Sharon Springs Park Community Building from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Maps and Elections Office staff will be on hand to answer any questions voters may have and to hear comments.

The other four meetings have been scheduled as follows:

  • Cumming City Hall, Saturday, July 27 – 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Midway Park Community Building, Tuesday, August 20 – 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Forsyth County Administration Building, Thursday, August 29 – 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

These changes, if approved, will affect many Forsyth County voters and would be implemented for the 2014 Election Cycle.
