City's Pump Station Relocates for Road Widening Project; Painting Presented

The wastewater facility, known as the Echols Road Pump Station, will have to be relocated due to the widening and reconstruction project.

A road-widening project by the Georgia Department of Transportation in east Forsyth County forces the relocation of a pump station owned by the city of Cumming.

The wastewater facility, known as the Echols Road Pump Station, is located between Samples Road and James Burgess Road, the area where the widening and reconstruction project will take place.

The purpose of the project is to improve east-west mobility along Highway 20, an area that serves as a primary arterial between Forsyth County and Gwinnett County, according to the agency.
