Browns Bridge Church Helping Coal Mountain Students

Editor's Note: The following announcement was submitted by Debbie Smith, principal of Coal Mountain Elementary School via Forsyth County Schools.

The Coal Mountain faculty, students, and community are very grateful to the congregation and leadership at Browns Bridge Community Church for their generous donation of $10,000 to support students at risk. We are overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity!

Clay Scoggins, Lead Pastor, along with several members of the Browns Bridge Leadership, presented the check to Ms. Jan Davis, school counselor, and to the Coal Mountain administrative team.

Browns Bridge Church has been a Partner in Education with Coal Mountain Elementary School for the past three years. During this time, their youth and leadership groups have helped develop Coal Mountain’s outdoor sensory garden and amphitheater for outdoor lessons. They have also served as greeters at our August Open House, and participated in Career Day. Last year, they made several book donations to support Coal Mountain’s leveled library and presented the school with a $10,000 check to support students at risk.

Coal Mountain is immensely grateful to Browns Bridge Community Church, for their overwhelming support and commitment to our students!
