Championship turf will reside at this weekend, and it could mean two state titles for the Longhorns.
The Longhorns host both the Class AAAA boys soccer and Class A-AAAA boys lacrosse championship games Friday and Saturday nights.
Undefeated and top-ranked Lambert (22-0) hosts Greenbrier (20-1) in the soccer championship game beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Longhorns enter the game after beating Marist 2-0 in the GHSA semifinals on Tuesday behind a goal and assist by Trexler Bennett, according to a report in the AJC. It was their second playoff shutout, including a 3-0 over McIntosh last week.
Greenbrier also has two consecutive shutouts — 4-0 over Tucker and 2-0 over Starr's Mill.
The boys lacrosse title in the combined classification of A-AAAA matches defending champion Lambert against Pope in a 7 p.m. Saturday game, also in Forsyth County.
The game is a rematch of last year's final when the Longhorns beat Pope 14-7.
Lambert advanced to Saturday's final with a 10-7 win over Westminster on Wednesday.
