Forsyth County Schools students will get a snow day Wednesday.

A statement from the school system reads:

"Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, due to inclement weather. All 12-month employees should report when or if conditions permit. All after school activities and athletics for Wednesday are also cancelled.

"A decision concerning if or when the January 29, 2014 school day will be made up will be determined later this week."

This county is ridiculous! You close schools proactively for wind chill issues but not for bad road conditions. Both are bad, react accordingly. You put lots of kids at risk on slick roads in our county this afternoon!
