Forsyth Schools Release Statement on School Wednesday
The system is experiencing "situations" with HVAC and sprinklers at some facilities.
With continuing frigid temperatures, Forsyth County Schools just released this statement on the status of school Wednesday for students:
"As of 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 school is still on as scheduled for students and staff onWednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. However, as with any school day this could change tonight or tomorrow morning.
"As many are experiencing in their homes and businesses, we have situations occurring with our HVAC and sprinklers at some of our school facilities. Also, we have a number of problems reported by our drivers concerning our buses. We expect more of these situations to happen as the day progresses. Our staff members are working as quickly as possible to address these situations so we can have school.

"Our goal is to notify you of any changes to school schedules as early as possible so families can make arrangements. Please frequent www.forsyth.k12.ga.us, local media sites, district social media and 770-887-2461 for up-to-date information."
School system officials cancelled school students Tuesday.
