UPDATE: Forsyth Schools Make Decision on Tuesday Classes

Will schools be closed again because of a winter storm?

Forsyth County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 11, because of the winter storm warning in placed and the governor's state of emergency for the area..

Here’s the announcement posted on the district's Facebook page:

Forsyth County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 because of the county being placed under a winter storm warning and a state of emergency. All after school activities and athletics have been cancelled for Tuesday. 

A decision has not been made at this time concerning a makeup day for students or staff because of this week’s forecast. However, please be aware that the school calendar for this weekend, February 14-17, 2014 will not change.

12 month staff should report when and if conditions permit.

No decision has been made concerning the status of school after Tuesday.
