Lambert Lacrosse Longhorns Hook Wildcats, Next State Title Game

The Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse team thrashed Westmisnter 13-1 Tuesday night. They battle Pope for the State Title on Saturday.

The Lambert Longhorns (20-1) are one step away from capping off a near perfect season as they throttled Westminster 13-1 Tuesday night in the semifinals of the Class AAAAA Boys Lacrosse State Tournament. They advance to face the Greyhounds of Pope for the State Title on Saturday.    

Junior attacker Brady Wilson and senior attacker Connor Butz each scored 3 goals to lead the Longhorns' attack. They were also able to help their teammates score as Butz had two assists during the evening and Wilson had one. The Wildcats were unable to muster much in the way of offense as senior attacker Michael Thomas scored the loan goal for Westminster. 

The Wildcats finish the season at 12-8, while Lambert will take on Pope (17-3) for the Class AAAAA State Championship on Saturday.
