Forsyth County Students Selected for Governor's Honors Program
Twenty-two high school students will participate in the summer program in Valdosta.
Twenty-two students from , and High Schools will be attending the Governor’s Honors Program this summer, according to a news release from school officials.
The Governor’s Honors Program (GHP), a residential summer program for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors, is held on the campus of Valdosta State in South Georgia.
Officials with the Georgia Department of Education, who run the program, interviewed more than 2900 students from across the state over three weekends in January and February. They chose 690 finalists to participate in the 2012 summer program.
