UGA Freshman from Cumming Receives Scholarship

Sarah Whitfield, a North Forsyth graduate, receives scholarship from UGA.

Sarah Whitfield, an incoming first-year student at the University of Georgia, has been awarded the Alumni Association Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year, a press related stated.

Whitfield, who graduated from , is the daughter of Joe and Donna Whitfield.  

The scholarship, funded by the UGA Alumni Association, provides $5,000 per year in addition to the HOPE Scholarship to one academically outstanding undergraduate who is in the first year of college and has demonstrated financial need.

The scholarship can be renewed for up to three years or until the recipient graduates, if certain academic standards are maintained.
