Dr. Evans is entering his fifth year as the county superintendent and his message talks about the district's work for the new year, including redistricting, the opening of the STEM Academy at Forsyth Central High School, the roll out of the Engage Me Please federal grant, the second year of iAchieve Virtual Academy, SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) accreditation and a new Strategic Plan, according to the FCS' e-newsletter.

In addition to Dr. Evans video message, keep in mind nearly two-thirds of the county's students will be riding a yellow school bus when they return to school today. Those 288 buses, together with more than 4,000 employees of the school system, and thousands of parents will cause increased traffic congestion on Forsyth County's roadways.
