Forsyth County Sheriff's Office "Take 25" Child Safety Event this Saturday May 25

Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Safety FREE classes for children and parents in conjunction with Take 25 initiative and in commemoration of National Missing Children's Day.

This event is in conjunction with the National Center for Missing Exploited Children Take 25 initiative.  As you know, the Safety of our children is extremely important to us.  That is why we are holding this safety event for kids and parents.

Event is this Saturday, May 25th from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Take 25 is a national child safety campaign of the National Center for Missing Exploited Children encouraging families to take 25 minutes to talk to their children about safety and abduction prevention. The goal of Take 25 is to heighten awareness about child safety issues.

Take 25 was created in commemoration of Missing Children's Day, observed each year on May 25. National Missing Children's Day serves as a reminder to make child safety a national priority.

Take 25 provides free safety resources to help keep children safer including safety tips, conversation starters and event planning guides.

NCMEC invites you to join the thousands of communities, organizations and individuals who have joined the Take 25 campaign throughout the U.S. and in other countries.

We will have Stranger Danger classes for kids 3-11 and a program for parents on abduction prevention and internet safety. 

SWAT members will the there with the BEARCAT armored vehicle and K9's will also be attending.  GaChips will be doing free child identification kits from 9:00-noon.  We will also have members of our Community Emergency Response Team present to discuss disaster preparedness.
