23 Local Businesses Team To Help Feed the Hungry Forsyth
The nonprofit will pick up donated food and deliver it to community food pantries that distribute food weekly to struggling families.
Twenty-three Forsyth County business have teamed with Feed the Hungry Forsyth Inc. in an effort to see that no one goes hungry this holiday season.
The nonprofit has provided food collection barrels to the local businesses and will pick up the food and deliver it to community food pantries that distribute food weekly to struggling families, according to its website.
What Can You Donate?
Canned and non-perishable food will be accepted in the drive. Items needed include:
- Spaghetti sauce (no glass jars please),
- Spaghetti noodles,
- Canned Tuna,
- Canned Chicken,
- Canned Salmon,
- Spam,
- Canned Ham,
- Canned Vegetables,
- Tomato Sauce,
- Peanut Butter,
- Jelly (no glass jars please),
- Soups,
- Ravioli,
- Canned Chili, Beef Stew,
- Cereal (non-sugar coated),
- Oatmeal,
- Tuna Helper,
- Hamburger Helper,
- Dry beans (1-pound packages),
- Rice (1-pound packages),
- Macaroni and Cheese,
- Ramen Noodles,
- Baby food (no glass jars please) and
- Infant Formula.
