College Recruiting: Top Prospects Visit UGA on Final Weekend Before National Signing Day

Five-Star prospect Lorenzo Carter was one of the five players to visit Athens this weekend.

With just a few days remaining until National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5, the University of Georgia hosted visits this weekend from five top recruits, including 5-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter of Norcross High School.

DawgPost.com said Carter, Cedar Grove linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams, Eagles Landing Christian defensive end Andrew Williams, Tucker wide receiver Dominick Sanders, and Merritt Island, Fla., cornerback Shaquille Jones all were in Athens on Friday or Saturday.

Sanders was the only one of the five to have already verbally committed to the Bulldogs.

Carter, a member of Norcross' back-to-back state championship teams, is the fifth-ranked defensive end in the nation by Scout.com. He has previously said he would wait until signing day to announce his college choice.

Check out Scout.com for more on Allen-Williams, Williams and Jones.

National Signing Day the first day most high school football recruits can sign a scholarship.
