BUFORD -- Now through Sunday, Oct. 23, area golfers will have the chance to compete for a million dollars in the Legacy on Lanier Golf Club $1 Million Challenge.

During the qualifying period, the 25 players who shoot closest to the pin on Legacy’s hole No. 10 will be invited to participate in the $1 Million Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 29. Official rules are available online or at the Legacy on Lanier Golf Shop.

"We invite all players to take a shot at becoming a qualifier--since it’s included in the price of regular play, they really have nothing to lose," said Brian Conley, PGA Head Golf Professional. "No matter their skill level, we are pleased to provide one million great reasons for them to at least try."

Golfers who do not qualify by shooting closest to the pin will have a chance to compete through five available wild card slots. Wild card competitors will be selected through a random drawing from entries collected at the golf shop. Area golfers may also register at Edwin Watts Golf at the Mall of Georgia or other local venues where a “Legacy on Lanier $1,000,000 Challenge” registration box is displayed.
