Forsyth Baseball Team To Be in Two-Day Event at Coolray Field

North Forsyth will compete with nine other high school teams on March 8-9, 2013.

Baseball will begin for 2013 this week at Coolray Field in nearby Lawrenceville, as 10 high school teams, including one from Forsyth County will compete in a two-day, five-game event.

On March 8-9, teams from North Forsyth, South Gwinnett, Mountain View, Lanier, North Gwinnett, Providence Christian, Duluth, Collins Hill, Brookwood, and Peachtree Ridge will take to the diamond in the event's debut.

“We’ve had singular events before, showcasing some top high school baseball teams in the area,” Gwinnett Braves General Manager North Johnson said in a news release.  “Through the efforts of the community and our staff, we have expanded to welcome the largest high school showcase in the history of Coolray Field. We want Coolray Field to be an outlet for the entire county and surrounding areas so they can take part in this one-of-a-kind experience."
