A rising senior lefthander for the Forsyth Central Bulldogs has decided where he will play college baseball following his graduation, Forsyth County News reports.

Reed Clark, who is coming off a 2013-14 season which saw him named to the all-county team, plans to become a Western Carolina Catamount after he finishes his studies at Forsyth Central next year.

Clark received interest from Richmond, Georgia State, and Georgia Highlands. He told Forsyth County News that Western Carolina's campus felt like home to him.

Last season, Clark amassed a 3-3 record and 3.58 ERA in 10 appearances, striking out 42 batters in 43 innings pitched. Clark only walked 21 hitters all year.

Clark will be joining one-time Bulldog teammate Danny Bermudez, who helped lead the Catamounts to a second consecutive regular season title with a .305 batting average.

Now in the offseason, Clark is preparing for his final campaign as a Bulldog. The southpaw plans on working to improve his fastball velocity and to improve his stamina so he can endure the longer college baseball season.
