The Wolverines secured at least one home playoff game as they knocked off Milton 21-6 Friday night and improved to 8-1 on the season.
“It was Milton’s homecoming, so we knew we were going into a hornet’s nest,” said West Forsyth coach Frank Hepler.

Hepler said his defense played remarkable as they intercepted three Milton passes in the third and fourth quarters.
West Forsyth heads to Roswell (0-8) next week.

Centennial 19
North Forsyth 13
Despite a 13-13 game at half, North Forsyth couldn’t hold on as they let one slip past Centennial 19-13 Friday night.
“We had opportunities and just didn’t take advantage of them,” said North Forsyth coach Blair Armstrong. “We had some penalties in critical situations.”
North Forsyth fell to 1-7 on the season as they head to Milton next week.
Lambert 24
Sequoyah 21
Lambert improved to 7-1 on the season to maintain a 3-way tie atop Region 7-AAAA with Johns Creek and Chattahoochee.
“A win always feels good, but it’s definitely different being on the other side,” said Lambert coach Sid Maxwell, who coached at Sequoyah for 20 years. “It was a great win to keep us going in the right direction.”
Quarterback David Broadus rushed for a touchdown and threw for another to lead the Longhorn offense. They face a tough Rome team (6-2) next week at home.
Creekview 27
Forsyth Central 17
Despite a 27-3 Creekview lead at halftime, Forsyth Central battled back to cut it to 10 but fell short as time expired.
“Our kids fought in the second half and I was real proud of their level of play,” said Forsyth Central coach Chris Bennett.
Bennett said his team played “sloppy” in the first half committing several penalties and dropping a couple of passes in the end zone.
The Bulldogs dropped to 2-6 on the season as they host Sequoyah next week.
Johns Creek 38
South Forsyth 11
The War Eagles dropped their fourth straight as they were routed by Johns Creek 38-11 Friday night.
The Gladiators improved to 7-1 on the season. South Forsyth has a short week as they prepare for a Thursday night game against defending 4-A champs, Chattahoochee.
