Forsyth, North Fulton Seniors to Play in Chamber Bowl

The annual All-Star game draws high school seniors from across the region to play in front of college coaches and scouts.

Football isn't quite over for high school seniors in North Fulton and Forsyth. The 2011 Chamber Bowl, an All-Star game for senior players, will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 at .

The North Fulton Forsyth Touchdown Club's 2011 Chamber Bowl will start with a 1 p.m. kick-off at the John Creek High School Field.

Coach Charles Wiggins of will be the head coach for the North team, with Coach Bill Waters of Johns Creek High School the head coach for the South team. Coaches from each school will represent their programs as assistants on the staff, while more than 100 players from the 26 Forsyth and North Fulton County high schools playing in this showcase event.

Every NCAA Division I, II and III, as well as NAIA and Junior College program in the country has been extended a special invitation to attend these events, making it an outstanding scouting opportunity.

Selected college coaches will present seminars on various topics around playing football at the collegiate level for all participants in the All-Star Game.

The Outback Year End Awards Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at . Colonel Michael Steele will be a special guest speaker. He was a company commander in the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment during the Somalia mission Operation Gothic Serpent, which is known now in the famous book and movie Black Hawk Down. The public is invited to attend the banquet.
