West Forsyth and Lambert should both keep pace in their regions with wins this Friday and Central should finish final home game of the season strong.

Are you ready for another round of picks?

Rome at : A battle of two teams currently in playoff position. Lambert (7-1) is in a three-way tie for first place in Region 7-AAAA, and with co-leaders Johns Creek and Chattahoochee expected to win this week, the Longhorns cannot slip up against a pretty good Rome team, which is 6-2 and has won four games in a row. Lambert 24, Rome 20.

West Forsyth at Roswell: We’ve wanted to believe that Roswell could turn things around, or at least put a complete game together and notch a W. We’ve even picked them to win three times previously. But the Hornets (0-8, 0-4 Region 6-AAAAA) haven’t been able to pull one out. West Forsyth (8-1, 4-1), which is playing its final regular-season game this week, can still win the region title, providing it beats Roswell and Alpharetta loses its final two game. At the very least, Wolves will have the No. 2 seed and a week off before the playoffs begin Nov. 11. 30, Roswell 14.

at Milton: The loser of this game will have its playoff aspirations ended. Actually, it’s pretty remarkable that two teams with three wins among can still talk playoffs so late in the season. Milton (1-3, 2-6) has the better chance to reach the playoffs. If the Eagles win this week, and then next week at last-place Roswell, it will reach the postseason. North Forsyth (1-7, 1-3) also must its last two games to sneak in, including next week against first-place at Alpharetta, and Northview must also lose a game, but that's a tall order. Milton 24, North Forsyth 17.

Chattahoochee at (Thursday): The WSB game of the week is a matchup of two 2010 playoff teams that looked better when it was scheduled than it does now. Chattahoochee, the defending state champ, is 7-1 and tied for first place in 7-AAAA. South Forsyth, the region's fourth playoff seed last year, is 2-6 and hasn’t won since late September. Chattahoochee 32, South Forsyth 20.

Sequoyah at : It’s only pride and bragging rights that are left for these two teams, which have identical 2-6 records. Sequoyah is coming off a narrow 24-21 loss to Lambert, which is tied for first place in Region 7-AAAA. Forsyth Central hopes to finish strong, especially for its final home game of the season. Forsyth Central 24, Sequoyah 21.

Note: is idle this week.
