Viewfinder: Boulder Dash 5K
Residents from Cumming and nearby towns turned out for the 2nd annual Boulder Dash 5K Road Race.
More than 1,500 runners participated in Saturday's Boulder Dash 5K in the Lafarge Aggregates and Concrete quarry located at 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive in Cumming.
Sponsored by Lafarge and Northside Hospital-Forsyth, all proceeds from the Boulder Dash will go to the Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Department’s Envision a Fit Forsyth Program (see story).
The overall winner was Mitchell Francis with an unofficial time of 19:23. In second place was Jerry Learned of Gainesville and in third was Mickey DeChellis also of Gainesville.

The women's division was won by Bonnie Linton of Cumming with an unofficial time of 20:55.
