West Forsyth Loses In Region Tournament

The Wolverwines fall to Centennial Boys 61-49.

The Centennial Knights defeated a surprising West Forsyth team on Friday in the Region 6AAAAA Boys basketball semifinal game.

West Forsyth, the No. 6 seed, advanced to the semifinals by defeating Alpharetta in the first round.  The Wolverines managed to stay close to the No. 2-seeded Centennial Knights for three quarters.

The first period ended in a 15-15 tie and Centennial managed only a two-point lead at halftime, 28-26.

Centennial began to take control of the game midway through the third period and increased their advantage for the remainder of the game.  At the end of play, the Knights were victorious, 61-49.

The Knights will play Milton in the Region championship game on Saturday.  West Forsyth takes on Roswell in the consolation game.
