Happy Summer Solstice!

Today is the longest day - at least here in the northern hemisphere.

Happy Summer Solstice! Today is the first day of summer and the longest day of daylight for those of us living in the northern hemisphere.

The summer solstice occurs when the earth's axial tilt is closest to the sun. Did you know that in the Arctic Circle, there will be 24 hours of daylight, and in Antarctica there will be 24 hours of nighttime?

What do you plan to do to celebrate the first day of summer? Tell us in comments.
