There are some positive signs in our local real estate market. Take a quick glance at some of the key indicators for the past week.

The number one question I get as a realtor is "How's the market?" So, to serve the Patch Community I will begin posting the Residential Market Numbers for Forsyth County each Friday.

Week Ending 11/1

Total Active Inventory = 1,144

Listings added = 53

Listings that Expired or Withdrew = 35

Homes that went Under Contract = 23

Homes that closed = 60

If there is additional information you would like to see, just let me know.

Can you give us some guidelines so that we know if the figures you reported are good, bad or ugly? Thank you

Good question Kathy. The numbers show that more homes came off the market then went on, which continues the trend of decreasing inventory. Forsyth Inventory is down 20% from this time last year, so for sellers the numbers are good. For buyers, we have shifted to a seller's market at most price ranges so the time to wait for a good deal has passed. Take advantage of the low interest rates while they last, and grab a house at fair market value.
