Banquet to Recognize Forsyth County Volunteers

Local volunteers will be honored at annual 'Celebration of Hands' awards banquet.

The sixth annual Celebration of Hands awards banquet will recognize Forsyth County volunteers who give back by working with local organizations and agencies that serve the community.

The Forsyth County Community Connection (FCCC), tonight's sponsor, is a local non-profit organization committed to helping people link to appropriate resources that can meet their needs.

"This special event gives us the opportunity to recognize and honor the volunteers that make our community great," said John Clark, 2012 president of the Community Connection. "Every year volunteers spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of hours mentoring young people who need role models, organizing food pantries, responding to vulnerable seniors, and helping families in need, just to name a few of the many they serve.”
