Forsyth County Eyeing Rec Center Membership Fees

A public hearing is set to discuss the proposed fees, which range from $5 to $120.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is set to hold a public hearing on a proposal to consider the imposition of a membership fee for the use of the recreation centers on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m.  

The proposed fees are:

  • Forsyth County Resident (ages 13 to 54): $10 annual fee, $5 returning for second year
  • Forsyth County Resident (age 55 and older): Free
  • Non-Forsyth County Resident: $120 annual fee
  • Visitor Attending with Member: $5 per visit
  • Badge Replacement Fee: $5

The public hearing will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building in Suite 220 of 110 E. Main St. in Cumming.

All Forsyth County residents and any other affected and/or interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend, according to the press release.
