Monday's Weather Forecast Predicts a Danger for Everyone
Expect sleet, freezing rain and snow Sunday night.

While some may delight in the chance for snow overnight, Cumming and Forsyth County residents will face the dangers of frostbite and hypothermia if they don't take precautions on Monday and Tuesday.
The area will be under a wind chill advisory from 11 a.m., Monday, to 1 p.m., Tuesday, that's been issued by the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. Wind chill readings will be as low as 10 degrees below zero.

Whenever you head outside you will feel the affects of northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph.
A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. The National Weather Service advises that if you must go outside, make sure you wear a hat and gloves with the rest of your cold weather gear.

Forsyth along with several other counties in north Georgia will be under a winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. Sunday through noon Monday, according to the NWS.
It warns of a dusting of snow up to 1 inch of snow, with brief sleet, Sunday night into Monday morning that will make for slick roadways due to freezing rain, snow and black ice. Gusty winds also may knock down trees.A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution.
A wind advisory also will be in effect for north Georgia, including Forsyth, from 5 a.m. to midnight Monday, according to the NWS.
The Weather Channel forecasts a 90 percent chance of precipitation tonight. Light rain that developed late afternoon will become a steady rain this evening tapering to showers and becoming mixed with snow overnight. The low will be 25. South winds will shift to west-northwest and increase to 15 to 25 mph. The chance of snow is 90 percent, with accumulations up to an inch.
More worrisome will be the sleet and freezing rain that will come before and even during the snowfall. Travel will be dangerous with icy roads likely on Monday morning.
And it won't get warm enough to be sure any slick spots are gone for the evening commute. The warmest it will be on Monday is 25 degrees, with a low around 4 Monday night. It will be very windy with some morning flurries and mostly sunny skies in the afternoon.
We won't get any break from the cold on Tuesday, with the high only reaching 23 and a low Tuesday night of 14. The wind will be mostly out of the northwest, but will drop to 12 mph during the day and down to 3 mph at night. That will ease the wind chill.
Starting on Wednesday it will begin to warm up, with the high near 40. By the weekend the highs will be in the 50s and the lows above freezing.
