Roadwork on Highway 141 Next Week in Forsyth

Some will require lane closures.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces routine maintenance activities planned for next week in Dawson, Forsyth, Hall and Gwinnett counties, if weather permits.

Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures, according to the press release. Following is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change.

Dawson: A crew inspect drainage pipes running under state routes across the county. No work is visible from the roadway. Vehicles will be parked along the shoulder as crews work.

Gwinnett: A crew will repair broken fences along the Interstate 85 right of way line while another crew seals cracks in the asphalt driving surface on SR 141 requiring a lane closure.

Crews will work Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, and a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.

Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
