The Cumming Police Department has been serving the community for more than 75 years. Chief of Police Scott Burgess has been serving the city of Cumming since 2009. The goal of the Cumming Police Department is to serve and protect its residents and visitors through the highest quality of police service by way of training and recruitment of professional and dedicated individuals.
The police department is made up of the Uniform Patrol Division (UPD), Communications, Jail Division, Training, Support Services Division and the Criminal Investigations Division (CID).
