Lakeside Middle School is located 2 miles North of Georgia Highway 20 on Echols Rd. and across the parking lot from Haw Creek Elementary School. Recently compiled last year in 2009, this new school teaches grades 6 - 8.

Each student takes  basic skills classes  such as language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. In additional to the core areas, students can also study such subjects  as health and physical education, art, music, band, chorus, technology, computer literacy, drama, creative writing and speech/debate, and foreign language.  All middle classrooms feature a built-in projector and interactive whiteboard. Computers are available to students in the classroom and media center and also with portable computer stations.

The Staff of Lakeside pride themselves in making every effort to meet the needs of any student needing extra assistance. They offer academic support after school, provide extra work and counseling if needed for any student.

Available to all students is a variety of sports activities. They include: boys and girls basketball, football, golf, track, tennis, cheerleader and intramural sports.
