This 154-acre park is one of the newest leased parks from the Army Corps of Engineers, who are responsible for maintaining Lake Lanier. Full development of the park is still being considered with more recreation opportunities in mind. Currently the park provides boat ramps, trailer parking, picnic tables and grills. There is not a public beach at this park.
Joint Venture Park at Daves Creek

This park is located one mile west of Windermere Parkway on Melody Mizer Lane. The park was created through the effortsMore of the Board of Commissioners and Education in 2006.  This dual purpose park is used during school hours by the adjacent Daves Creek School. After school hours and during the weekends the park is open to the general public. The park includes a pavilion, restrooms and fields for football, lacrosse, baseball and softball.
Windermere Park

This park entrance is hard to see, but it is located three miles north of Old Atlanta Road on Windermere Road. ThisMore 87-acre park, located near the scenic James Creek, provides lots of open space for family fun. Local visitors have been enjoying this park since its completion in October 2004. The park includes a nature trail, a large concrete walkway and modern restrooms. The land around the existing park is designated now as permanently protected green space.

In addition, this was Forsyth County's first dog park, which was opened in September 2006.The dog park has a separate area for large and small dogs. There are waste bag stations, water faucets and benches.

This Forsyth County park offers access to Lake Lanier with an easy to use and convenient boat ramp. For family fun,More the park has a swing set and picnic tables with grills. The park also has a public beach, but with varying lake levels, it sometimes is not usable.

Ducktown Park

This park is located three miles North of Georgia Highway 20 on Heardsville Road in the small community of Ducktown,More GA. This older park still provides facilities for family fun and entertainment. It is one of the few parks with an outdoor volleyball court and an old fashion horseshoe pit. For the younger kids it will find well used playground equipment to swing on. There also is a new rubber surface walking and running path that rings the perimeter of the park.

 

Central Park

Conveniently located west of Georgia 400 on Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, this park, built in 2001, includes 85More acres of fields, trails and woods. From soccer fields to softball fields, tennis courts to a 27-hole disc golf course, Central Park has something for people of all ages. Additionally, the park features a mountain biking trail, playground, picnic pavilion and walking/running trails. You'll also notice the North Precinct of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the Central Park Recreation Center located within the park.
