The Academy Opens at The Avenue Forsyth
The much anticipated sporting goods store opens its doors to some special guests as well as the public.
A special afternoon delivery arrived at the new Academy Sports and Outdoors store Thursday. A big yellow school bus pulled up to the store and some very excited children piled out. The children, in the after school program at the YMCA were each treated to a $100-dollar gift card and free reign of the new sporting goods store just before its opening to the general public. Located at the Avenue Forsyth on Peachtree Parkway, the Academy caters to sporting enthusiasts of all ages with a premier selection of everything from kayaking and golf equipment to lacrosse and football gear.
