As many as 900 elementary students ran to raise money for their school while parents and Boosterthon members cheered them on.
Students at Cumming Elementary School recently ran more than 1,500 miles as part of the Boosterthon Fun Run event. The miles added up as the 900 elementary students ran to raise money for their school while parents and Boosterthon members cheered them on. Leading up to the Boosterthon Fun Run event on Nov. 15, students gathered pledges for each lap they ran and were immersed in a 9-day Boosterthon program that inspired students to live healthy, character-filled lives. Students participated in a special challenge to get a pledge from all 50 states with the incentive that their principal had to kiss a pig.
