Pete Amos, New Chair of Forsyth BOC
As the new year begins, the Forsyth County BOC elect a new chairman, vice chairman and secretary.
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has a new leader. Pete Amos, who represents District 1 and is beginning his third year on the board, was elected Thursday evening as chairman. During the first regular board meeting of the New Year, Amos received 4-0 votes, with Todd Levent absent. Members of the board also elected former chairman Jim Boff, who serves District 5, as vice chairman, and District 2 Commissioner Brian Tam to serve as secretary, again the votes were 4-0. Boff and Tam were re-elected to their seats last summer, Boff serving his second term and Tam his third.
