Readers' Choice: And the Winner Is...

Cumming Patch readers choose their favorite place in town to board their pets in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

Our readers voted for Paw Perfect Pet Salon, Inc. as their favorite place in Cumming to board their pets, receiving 54 percent of the votes. The grooming and pet boarding business is owned and operated by Rebecca and Brian Wagoner and is located at 635 Canton Highway in Cumming. Paw Perfect Pet Salon offers boarding Monday through Saturday, for check-in and checkout, including holidays. Wagoner says the dogs get two meals a day and are walked three times during the day and once at night. It's one of the unique services they offer their clients. In addition to their boarding services, they are also known for their grooming, including all breed standard clips, potty and water breaks, positive reinforcement, and lots of TLC. As for winning …

Readers' Choice: And the Winner Is...

Cumming Patch readers choose the best staycation destination in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

Our readers voted for Lake Lanier as the favorite staycation destination in and around Cumming, receiving 29 percent of the votes in this week's poll. It's not a surprise that Lake Lanier is a favorite among many, constructed in 1951, the 692 miles of shoreline offers residents and visitors a break from the daily grind. Owned and operated by the United States Core of Engineers, the lake is well known for its aqua-blue colored water and spectacular scenery. It has become a major recreational destination with 68 parks, overnight camping, fishing, marinas, boat ramps and hiking trails. Lake Lanier has an annual draw of more than seven million visitors. Saint Brendan's Preschool Wins Cumming Patch Readers' Choice

Which local preschool did you say is the favorite in Cumming? Here are the results!

In our fourth week of Cumming Patch Readers' Choice – we asked you to decide which local preschool is the majority favorite in the community. And the winner...Saint Brendan the Navigator Preschool! The Catholic church's preschool received 37 percent or 825 of the votes. Preschool Director Jodi Brock said she was honored, thrilled and excited to hear the news. "I am so proud of all of the families here, all the teachers and the children," she said. "Their the ones that make it the way it is." The faith based preschool, located at 4633 Shiloh Road in south Forsyth County, has an enrollment of 225 children and has been in the community for 12 years.
