Plant a Tree in Forsyth this Arbor Day
Georgia Arbor Day will officially be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 15.
Celebrate Georgia Arbor Day by planting a free red bud or red cedar seedling from Keep Forsyth County Beautiful. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, a limited number of free tree seedlings will be available while supplies last at the three Forsyth County Convenience Centers: Forsyth County Master Gardeners will also be at the sites to answer questions and provide planting information. “Trees provide a lasting gift to future generations,” said Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright. “They improve the surrounding area and are good for the environment.
