Reward Offered in Murder Case

Hannah Truelove, a Gainesville High School student, was found murdered behind Lake Lanier Club Apartments last August.

Governor Nathan Deal has signed an executive order authorizing a $1,000 reward for the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Hannah Truelove. Truelove, a Gainesville High School student, was found murdered behind Lake Lanier Club Apartments, where she lived with her mother, on Aug. 24, 2012. A resident discovered her body in a heavily wooded area between the apartment complex and Lake Lanier. Truelove had been stabbed multiple times. Public's Help Needed in Murder Case

The murder of a high school student last August near Lake Lanier remains unsolved.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and nearby Hall County Sheriff’s Office have renewed their request for the public assistance in the Hannah Truelove murder investigation, according to a press release sent out on Friday. Truelove, a Gainesville High School student, was found murdered behind Lake Lanier Club Apartments, where she lived with her mother, on Aug. 24, 2012. Authorities report that a resident discovered her body in a heavily wooded area between the apartment complex and Lake Lanier. She had been stabbed multiple times. Cumming Teens Charged with Burglary, Auto Break-Ins

The teens are suspected of taking items valued at more than $4,200.

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary and two auto break-ins in west Hall County, authorities said Friday. Ryan Hickman, 17, and Freddy Lora, 18, both of Cumming, along with Charles Westfall, 17, of Gainesville were arrested on Oct. 9, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. All three have been charged with two counts each of entering auto and one count each of burglary. The alleged crimes occurred on Sept. 15 after sheriff’s deputies responded to the 4900 block of Goddard’s Ford Road in nearby Gainesville regarding a report of a burglary and thefts from cars. During the course of the investigation, authorities were able to recover items related to the crimes, including a Honda dirt bike valued at $3,000, …
