A hunting trip turns tragic after a 44-year-old man falls to his death while hunting with his son in south Forsyth County on Monday.
A 44-year-old father dies and his son is injured after falling approximately 15 to 20 from a tree stand while hunting in a remote area in south Forsyth County on Monday evening. Emergency crews responded to a wooded remote area along Old Atlanta Road around 5:18 p.m. following a call placed by the son, according to Division Chief Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County Fire Department. The father and son, who were hunting on private property, were not easy to find. "We had to ping his cell phone to give us a symbol for coordinates to get close to where he was," said Shivers.
