Make the 2012 holiday season brighter for Forsyth County home-bound senior citizens by taking part in the Home-Delivered Meal Holiday Gift Certificate Program. Meals purchased with a holiday gift certificate through Forsyth County Senior Services will be delivered through the Meals on Wheels program. Forsyth County to Offer Health Fair for Seniors

Seniors can get health screenings and take part in exercise demonstrations, such as yoga, Tai Chi and ballroom dancing, at the Healthy Aging and Fitness Fair on Tuesday, July 24.

Forsyth County Senior Services will offer seniors an opportunity to receive important health information at the Healthy Aging and Fitness Fair on Tuesday, July 24. The free event is for adults ages 50+ and will be held at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees can enjoy free fruit and take advantage of free health screenings, wellness information and exercise demonstrations. “We are very excited to offer this event for our community’s seniors,” Senior Services Interim Director Valerie Rhoads said. “Attendees will be able to obtain a variety of wellness information and also get important health screenings.” Health screenings will take place in the Main Hall and Game Room of the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center.
