Cumming Patch readers choose their favorite place in town that serves up frozen yogurt or ice cream in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

Our readers voted for The Ice Cream Social as their favorite place in Cumming that serves up frozen yogurt or ice cream, receiving 37 percent of the votes, numerous comments and reviews in this week's poll. The Ice Cream Social is locally owned and operated by Cinda Reid and is located at 5910 Bethelview Road in Cumming. Their Web site states, "Think of us as a home-town, family-centric, social watering hole that specializes in premium ice cream and many other sweet treats." In addition to their tasty treats like cupcakes, sundaes, milk shakes, root beer floats, and of course ice cream, they offer specialty cakes and can also host your next party on or off-site. Where is the best place in town to take Mom for Mother's Day brunch? Our readers voted for The Foster House, receiving 31 percent of the votes in this week's poll. The Foster House, located at 305 W. Main Street in downtown Cumming, is a charming 19th century style home built in 1887 and refurbished in 2003, to become a southern-style dining and special events facility. Amanda Davis, owner and executive chef, thanks the readers for voting for the Foster House. "I really appreciate it," she said. "Our Mother's Day buffet has become a tradition." The votes are in and counted in this week's Readers' Choice poll for the best restaurant patio in Cumming.

Who has the best restaurant patio in Cumming? Our reader's voted for Mellow Mushroom! The restaurant received 36% of the votes in this week's poll. Located at the Avenue Forsyth on Peachtree Parkway, Mellow Mushroom opened its doors last October, under new owners Charles and Kelly Wilson. "We are so happy and grateful that everyone enjoys our patio as much as we do," said Kelly. "We thank all of our voters." Mellow Mushroom has always put the "fun" in funky from their eclectic atmosphere to crazy menu selections such as, Kosmic Karma, Magical Mystery Tour and Philosopher's Pie. Who Has the Sweetest Ice Tea in Cumming? Slope's BBQ

The votes are in on the best sweet tea in town.

We wrap up the month of March and this week's Cumming Patch Readers' Choice with a new winner. We asked you to decide which place in town serves up the best sweet tea? And the winner...Slope's BBQ! The local restaurant received 31 percent of the votes in this week's poll. Slope's BBQ is locally owned and operated by Ricky & Lisa Coppenger. Upon hearing the news that readers selected their sweet tea as the best, Ricky told Cumming Patch, "Well this is BBQ and it's in the south, we've got to have the best." The restaurant located at 436 Canton Road just west of downtown Cumming also serves ribs, brisket, and a perennial favorite, sweet potato fries.
