The Cumming man who has been indicted in Hall County in connection with the boating deaths of two Gwinnett youths at Lake Lanier has a scheduled trial date. Paul Bennett, a Cumming resident, is scheduled to face trial May 20, 2013. Also, the next motions hearing reportedly is set for January 31, according to Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh. "There was a pre-trial conference with the judge between the state and the defense late last week," said Darragh. He also told Cumming Patch that Judge Kathlene Gosselin would be hearing arguments in this case. Bennett was indicted for homicide and boating under the influence in connection with the boating collision on June 18, 2012, that killed Griffin and Jake Prince of Buford. …

Kyle Glover, the son of Usher's former wife, died Saturday morning after being taken off life support.
Kyle Glover, the son of entertainment superstar Usher's ex-wife, reportedly has died after being removed from life support. According to the Huffington Post, the entertainment Web site TMZ reported that Glover's mother, Tameka Foster, allegedly made the tough decision after being told that a full recovery was not likely. She is also said to have been unable to pay the medical bills required to keep her son on life support, after the family's insurance company coverage expired. Updated, Thursday, July 12, 11:30 a.m.: The family of Kyle Glover, the youth who was injured in a collision Friday on Lake Lanier, has asked for prayers for the child, according to CNN.com. "We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," Glover's family said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday. The youth's mother is Tameka Foster Raymond, the ex-wife of entertainment superstar Usher. His father is Ryan Glover, a former executive with Turner Broadcasting and now an executive with Bounce TV, a network that caters to African-Americans. A "friend of the family" was piloting the personal watercraft that injured the stepson of superstar entertainer Usher last week on Lake Lanier, according to a media report. MTV.com has reported that Jeffrey S. Hubbard was the operator of the personal watercraft that ran into Kyle Glover (aka Kile Glover), 11, and a 15-year-old girl last week on the lake. Glover and the girl were life-flighted to Children's Hospital at Egleston in Atlanta after the accident.
