When Cumming resident Seth Thomas and his teammates get behind the wheel of their #22 Porsche Cayman GTR this weekend they'll be doing so for good reason, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The racing event is the prestigious season-opener to the Rolex Sports Car Series scheduled to start on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Daytona, Fla. Thomas, 37, is part of the Vancouver-based Bullet Racing team, a long-time competitor in the 24 Hour and noted Porsche racing experts. Thomas' team joins a star-studded driver lineup, which includes more than 70 champions from all kinds of racing from around the world.
