ReplyAnd Georgians are "shocked" when the rest of the world views them as uneducated, racist, redneck hicks waving Confederate flags. How sad that in 2013 this is still an issue, and sadder still that those girls will be ostracized (bullied) by those backward thinking people around them for trying to to the right thing. The Governor should speak up. EVERYONE should speak up.

On the article Growler Containers Delay Sampling Malt Beverages in Forsyth

ReplyWhy in a seperate room?!? The growler locations that exist would have to build inside their already small locations or lease additional space. Plus have a second set of taps & hire more people to work the seperated space! More cost to anyone wanting to operate a growler store and it seems like INCENTIVE NOT TO DO BUSINESS IN FORSYTH COUNTY. Why can't the "fastest growing county in Georgia" get with the program? It's 2013, not 1913!

ReplyQuestion: why is McAlister's Deli a part of this? They don't have a location in Forsyth per their website. Will they be opening one soon? I hope so!

ReplyLet's hope they don't JAM all the food vendors under the stadium cover again. That was a mess!!! You couldn't move, couldn't figure out what line you were in, could barely get back out to try to eat. It needs to be set up like the BBQ competition was with vendors spread out, hopefully they get it right this year.

On the article Should Parents be Allowed to Purchase Alcohol for Their Children Younger Than 21?

ReplyI don't have a problem with this. An 18 year old is considered to be an ADULT, not a minor. They can vote & risk their lives for our country. Perhaps if they have a drink with their parents they learn moderation? And to Watts talking about the teenaged waiter or 22 yr old manager, they already deal with id's every day anyway to make sure someone is 21, just saying. So yes, if they are with their parents or an adult. Better still, lower the drinking age to 18. 21 is ridiculous to start with.

To AnitaJustice: please explain what beer drinking adult on the planet doesn't already KNOW beer is a dehydrator & a depressant? The 'sheeple' you refer to obviously aren't going to put down a beer because of a lable, they will drink it anyway. The same way folks still smoke cigarets in spite if the Surgeon General's warning printed on each one. People make their own decisions whether good or bad and have to deal with the consequences of THEIR ACTIONS. And how is it 'greedy' if the company doesn't put a silly lable on their bottle???
