Forsyth Sheriff: Keep Valuables in Vehicles Out of Sight

Cops in Cumming and Forsyth County say thinking ahead could deter a crime.

Forsyth County sheriff's officials has a word of advice, one that's repeated often by law enforcement officer in jurisdictions across the region and likely applies to the towns across the country:

Keep valuables stored in your parked car out of sight.

"Any day in Forsyth County you may see the picture (above)," the department's Facebook page reads. "The mini-van is parked with a purse on the front seat in plain view.

"This scene is repeated several times a day throughout the county.
Thankfully, the bad guys do not see this as much as we do."

Cops' words of advice to Cumming and Forsyth County:

"Keep your valuables out of sight when your vehicle is parked," the post reads. "The bad guys will take your purse and buy themselves a brand new computer and flat screen television with your credit cards.

"Do not give them a chance to ruin your day!"
