Woman Trapped, Critically Injured in Forsyth Crash

It involved a small sedan and a cement truck.

Updated

A woman driving a small sedan sustained "critical, life-threatening injuries" in the GA 400 crash that closed northbound lanes for about an hour, Forsyth County Fire Department spokesman Jason Shivers said.

The sedan and a cement truck collided at GA 400's intersection with Bottoms Road and Settingdown Circle "in the median," Shivers said, "heavily" entrapping the woman in her car.

Fire crews worked 15 minutes to free the driver, who was the only occupant of the car. The driver of the cement truck was not hurt, Shivers said.

The woman, who Shivers declined to identify, was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Original Report

A serious crash on GA 400 at Settingdown Road closed the northbound lanes for about an hour, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

It involved a small car and a concrete truck, according to a Cumming Patch tipster. Two tipsters say a helicopter responded to the interstate scene.

GA 400 north was reopened shortly after 2 p.m. It's the second crash in as many days that has halted GA 400 traffic.
