A Cumming woman—and apparent excellent cook—needs your online votes.

Lise Ode recently was named one of 60 semifinalists in the freshly-redesigned 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest, according to the press release. She was selected as a semi-finalist in the Quick Rise and Shine Breakfast category for her recipe German Chocolate Doughnuts.

Ode now needs Cumming votes to send her to the finals to compete for $1 million in dough.

Vote for her recipe at BakeOff.com through Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.

For the first time in the 64-year history of the Bake-Off Contest, America will determine which of the semifinalist recipes will vie for the grand prize. Those 100 finalists will compete at Bake-Off Contest finals, Nov. 10 to 12, 2013, at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest is one of the most iconic competitions in the United States. It originated in 1949, with the first competition at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

New this year, to encourage simpler, original recipes, submissions, including Ode's, were limited to seven or fewer ingredients and must take 30 minutes or less to prepare, not including baking and cooling time.
