Marlow's Tavern Opens at the Avenue Forsyth

Marlow's Tavern opened its doors on Tuesday at the Avenue Forsyth. The upscale restaurant with down-to-earth hospitality makes a positive debut with the community.

The opening of the eighth restaurant in the Marlow's Tavern chain proves to be a welcome addition to the Avenue Forsyth.

An extensive menu of appetizers and entrees including Asparagus Fries and Crispy Trout Nicoise taste as mouthwatering as they sound. Deserts include favorites such as classic Creme Brulee and Apple Crisp, (perfect as we head into the fall season.)

The Marlow’s Tavern menu, created by Executive Chef and Co-Owner John C. Metz Jr., is broken down into the following convenient components:

The restaurant hosted a VIP event on July 23, giving its appetizers and drinks a much anticipated test run to invited community members. By all appearances, the event paved the way for a successful opening to the public on July 26--just one more reason Forsyth County continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

"We chose Forsyth because of the continued growth of the area. It continues to be a vibrant community with, what seems to be endless possibilities," said Chef Metz in a statment. "In addition, the Avenue development has helped shape the revitalization of the area in a way that moved it forward much quicker than smaller retail spaces would have."

"We think Marlow’s will have great synergies with the Avenue and all of its shops and restaurants by bringing a unique experience that is currently not available in the center, a unique classic tavern environment with a neighborhood feel," said Metz. "We look forward to fitting in to the neighborhood and meeting our new neighbors."

Great food isn't the only thing they serve up at Marlow's Tavern. The restaurant has partnered with Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) on a regular basis to raise funds for the organization. Fundraising events have raised more than $250,000 for the Special Olympics.

On August 22-28 Marlow's Tavern is holding a special week-long grand opening celebration for the Forsyth Avenue location. During the grand opening, the restaurant will host a school spirit night for South Forsyth Schools. They will be giving a 20 percent discount to guests who wear their school South Forsyth spirit apparel to the restaurant.

For golfing enthusiasts, Marlow’s Tavern Golf Classic is something to look forward to Monday, October 10 at Horseshoe Bend Country Club, this event benefits SOGA.

Next time you're at the Avenue Forsyth, stop by Marlow's Tavern for an atmosphere that serves excellent food in the spirit of community growth and camaraderie. They are located at 410 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, across from the AMC Avenue Forsyth 12 movie theatre on the corner.
