Whiz Kid Of The Week: Olivia Wood, Little Miss Fitness
When you're an active 7-year-old with a fitness plan, the rewards are sometimes unexpected.
Meet Olivia Wood. She's a 7-year-old who knows what it means to stay in shape.
Accomplishment
Olivia played the Goldfish Team Xtreme Game every day for a year, logging her fitness goals and making a commitment to stay active. Her dedication led to being chosen as a finalist in the competition and her prize included a six-day trip to Los Angeles for the NBA All-Star Weekend. Olivia got to "hang out" with team members of the Miami Heat like Dwyane Wade, who has partnered with the Team Xtreme program to support America's youth in their efforts to stay active. Olivia has also earned a yellow belt in karate and continues to excel in sports including basketball and ballet.

Key To Success
Olivia believes being an outgoing and fun loving person are the two main reasons she's able to follow through with maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. Her mother, Marilyn Wood says she's quite the "diva" when it comes to socializing and being in the spotlight. "Olivia truly enjoys meeting new people and hamming it up in front of the camera. Sometimes I have to tell her it's okay not to pose!" says Wood.

When Olivia gets home from a day of school at Whitlow Elementary, she steps off the bus, talks to her mom about the day's events and is likely to grab a healthy snack before heading off on her scooter to see what's happening in the neighborhood.
Kudos to Olivia and her mom who are clearly making the most of a fun and active lifestyle. As America is more focused than ever on keeping its children active, role models like Olivia Wood are setting the bar for a healthier generation.
